Price Includes:  4 night's Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at the 3 star Beaufort Park Hotel, Mold, plus entry to Arley Hall & Gardens, a guided tour of Denbigh, entry to Ruthin Gaol, a Chester River Cruise and self guided tour of Chester Cathedral.

 

There is no single room supplement for the first 5 guests to book, additional single rooms can be requested and will be subject to a supplement of £80 per person. 

Monday

We depart Plymouth at 7am and make a coffee stop before continuing onto Shrewsbury for a lunch stop. This is the county town of Shropshire and lies on the River Severn. It is quirky with a mix of old and new and higgledy-piggledy streets. We then continue our journey onto our hotel where you will spend the next 4 nights.

Tuesday

Today we will visit the country house of Arley Hall & its award winning gardens; home to the owner, Viscount Ashbrook and his family. This is one of the most attractive homes in the North West and offers a grandeur throughout making it a popular choice for weddings.

Wednesday

This morning we will have a 90 minute guided tour of the historic market town of Denbigh, located at the heart of North Wales, overlooking the breath-taking Vale of Clwyd. This afternoon we visit Ruthin Gaol, the only purpose built Pentonville style prison open to the public. You will learn about the Victorian prison system and how the prisoners spent their days. It ceased to be a prison in 1916 when the prisoners and guards were transferred to Shrewsbury.

Thursday

The ancient walled town of Chester is our destination today. Firstly we enjoy a 30 minute river cruise along the River Dee, before spending some time at leisure in this historic town. This afternoon we meet up again for a self guided tour of Chester Cathedral.

Friday

We head home today, making a coffee stop along the way before stopping for lunch at the historic riverside town of Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire. Here you will find the beautiful Abbey, medieval streets and traditional high street full of independent shops to explore. We depart here mid-late afternoon, aiming to arrive back into Plymouth early - mid evening.
