Friday

We depart Plymouth at 7.30am, making a coffee stop along the way before heading to Oxford where we will make a longer stop for lunch. You will have time to explore this delightful city of dreaming spires and famous colleges before we continue onto our hotel where we will spend the next 3 nights.

Saturday

This morning we visit the picturesque medieval market town of Saffron Walden with a rich heritage of old buildings, including the beautiful St. Mary’s Church, and a regular street market which dates back as far as 1141. This afternoon we visit the nearby Audley End House; renowned as one of the finest Jacobean houses in England and tranquil landscaped gardens created by "Capability Brown". Explore life above and below the stairs at this impressive and beautiful mansion.

PLEASE NOTE: There are approx. 100 steps throughout this whole property to negotiate. Access to the 1st and 2nd floor is similar to a house with a flight of stairs. The visitor route of the house is mainly on the 1st floor and there is no lift available.

Sunday

Imperial War Museum Duxford is our destination today. It takes you on an unforgettable journey through the history of aviation in times of war and peace and also houses one of the finest collections of tanks, military vehicles and artillery in the UK. It is home to some of the world’s most iconic aircraft such as the legendary Spitfire, Lancaster Bomber, Concorde and much, much more.

Monday

After breakfast we start our journey home, we will make one final stop in the beautiful city of Bath where you will have time for lunch and to explore this wonderful place. With some of the finest architectural sights in Europe such as Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge plus many famous attractions such as the Roman Baths you may not even have time for shopping! We will leave Bath late afternoon aiming to get back into Plymouth early evening.
