We depart Plymouth at 8am and head towards the historic market town of Chippenham for a lunch stop, it is located midway between Bath and Swindon. Nestled on the banks of the River Avon is it one of the West Country’s most vibrant towns. From here we continue our journey onto our hotel in Aylesbury where you will have time to relax and unwind before for your first evening meal.

Today is the highlight of our weekend - we head to Blenheim Palace for the Flower Show. Our ticket covers standard entry to the park and gardens for this event and does not include entry to the Palace. This is still a relatively new flower show returning for it’s 6th year in 2018. There will be the centrepiece Grand Floral Marquee, a Shopping Village with trade stands, a Food and Drink Pavilion and an opportunity to purchase gifts and crafts from the Home and Country Living Pavilion.

We must head home today but will make a stop at the beautiful city of Wells, which is also said to be the smallest city. It is located on the foot of the Mendip Hills and home to Vicars Close, reputed to be the oldest complete, continuously inhabited medieval street in Europe. From here we continue home aiming to arrive back into Plymouth early evening.
