Sunday 5th - Wednesday 8th November 2017

 

£299 per person

 

Price Includes: 3 night’s Dinner, Bed & Breakfast accommodation at the 4 star Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells, with a full day guided tour of the Black and White villages and a private guided 2 hour tour of the Hall at Abbey Cwm-Hir and visits to Monmouth and Cardiff.

 

There will be no single room supplement for the first 5 guests to book, additional single rooms can be requested and will be subject to a supplement of £35 per person.  

Sunday

We depart Plymouth at 8am, making a coffee stop along the way, before heading to Monmouth for a lunch stop. It is a traditional county town situated where the River Minnow meets the River Wye, just a short journey across the border as you enter Wales. We then continue the journey onto the hotel where you will spend the next 3 nights.

Monday

Today’s excursion begins across the border in Ludlow where we meet our tour guide who will show us around the “Black & White Villages” which is likely to include medieval Pembridge, Kington on the River Arrow and Weobley – the Jewel in the Crown of the trail.

Tuesday

This morning you will enjoy a 2 hour private guided tour of the Hall at Abbey Cwm-Hir, a 52 roomed private Victorian mansion whose owners have spent years restoring it to its original splendour complete with a beautiful walled garden. At Christmas it really is a spectacle with each of the rooms individually decorated to its own theme. This afternoon we will have scenic drive back through the Elan Valley to our hotel.

Wednesday

This morning we must start our journey home, but first we will make a final stop in Cardiff, where you will have for shopping, sightseeing and lunch. We leave here mid afternoon aiming to arrive back into Plymouth early evening.
