We travel to Sheffield Park this morning to visit this stunning National Trust property. Originally designed by Capability Brown, the garden’s centrepiece is four spectacular lakes. This afternoon we enjoy a return journey on the Bluebell Railway, boarding at Sheffield Park Station and travelling through the glorious Sussex countryside.

Wednesday

The Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre is this morning’s delightful excursion. The museum is home to traditional crafts people such as potter and blacksmith and is dedicated to the industrial heritage of the south east. The 36 acre site is set in the heart of the South Downs National Park and can be explored using the narrow-gauge railway or vintage bus. We return to our hotel via the classic seaside resort of Worthing.
