Friday
We depart Plymouth at 7.30am and head towards Sanders Garden World for a coffee stop. We will make our way to Central London where you will have your afternoon visit to Buckingham Palace; the official London residence of the Queen. Its 19 staterooms form the heart of the working Palace and are lavishly furnished with some of the finest treasures from the Royal collection. Queen Victoria was the first monarch to reside at Buckingham Palace, she moved into the newly completed palace in 1837. To mark the 70th birthday of The Prince of Wales this year, there will be a special display of over 100 works of art personally selected by His Royal Highness, including the cloak of Napoleon Bonaparte. After our visit we head to our Heathrow hotel to check in and enjoy our evening meal.
Saturday
After breakfast we travel to The Shard for our morning visit . It is one of London’s newest attractions to experience. There are 3 viewing platforms on levels 68, 69 and 72 which are almost twice the height of any other viewing platform of London’s skyline. There are 360 degree views spanning up to 40 miles on a clear day. We depart London mid afternoon aiming to arrive back into Plymouth early evening.
