New for 2017 Diana: Her Fashion Story

From her first public appearances in 1981, Diana, Princess of Wales, captivated the world’s attention as a princess, as a trendsetter and as a patron and advocate of charities. Twenty years on from her death, a new exhibition and temporary garden celebrating her life will be opened at Kensington Palace, her home for over 15 years

Buckingham Palace

This year’s special exhibition ‘Royal Gifts’ will tell the story of The Queen’s reign through a wide-ranging display of official gifts presented to Her Majesty during the past 65 years.  With gifts representing every continent, including those from world leaders such as former US President Ronald Reagan, former South African President Nelson Mandela and President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, the exhibition will present a spectacular display of craftsmanship from across the globe.

At the end of a visit to the State Rooms, groups can enjoy a well-earned rest in the popular Garden Café whilst taking in the fabulous views over the famous lawn.

Saturday

We depart Bretonside at 7.30am and head towards Sanders Garden World for a coffee stop. We will make our way to Central London where you will have your afternoon visit to Kensington Palace; which underwent a £12 million transformation in 2012 made possible through the Heritage Lottery Fund and other grants. Discover stories from Queen Victoria’s life told in her own words, view the special exhibition of some of Princess Diana’s dresses. After our visit we head to our Heathrow hotel to check in and enjoy our evening meal.
