Price Includes:  1 night’s Dinner, Bed & Breakfast accommodation at the 4 star Crowne Plaza Heathrow Hotel plus entry to The Imperial War Museum, Cabinet War Rooms, a Thames River Cruise and a Westminster Abbey Tour.

Friday

We depart Plymouth at 7.30am and head towards Sanders Garden World for a coffee stop. We will make our way to Central London where you will have your afternoon visit to The Imperial War Museum and The Cabinet War Rooms. The Imperial War Museum tells the stories of people’s experiences of modern war from WW1 to conflicts today. We then make our way to Churchill’s Cabinet War Rooms. This wartime bunker is a fascinating piece of living history; an underground maze of rooms that once buzzed with round-the-clock planning and plotting, strategies and secrets. After our visit we head to our Heathrow hotel to check in and enjoy our evening meal. The reminder of your evening is free for you to relax and unwind.

Saturday

After breakfast we travel to Tower Pier for your one way cruise to Westminster Pier which passes some of the most famous landmarks in London so sit back and enjoy the view. After our river cruise we will enjoy a 2 hour guided tour of Westminster Abbey. This fascinating building has many highlights to suit people of all ages. Charles Dickens, Geoffrey Chaucer, Dr. Samuel Johnson and Charles Darwin were buried in the church’s grounds. The Abbey’s history is made up of famous Kings and Queens, as well as renowned poets and priests. There is a memorial for Isaac Newton in Scientists corner. It also contains impressive statues and monuments from the Virgin Mary holding a baby Jesus to the grave of the unknown warrior. We will leave London late afternoon arriving into Plymouth late evening.
