We depart Plymouth at 7.30am, making a coffee stop en route, then head for the market town of Chesterfield. The town received its market charter in the year 1204, and is currently home to one of the largest open air markets in Britain. It’s most famous landmark is the distinctive “crooked” spire of its predominantly 14th century church dedicated to St. Mary and all saints, a Grade I listed building. We then continue onto our hotel to check in and enjoy our evening meal.
