Chelsea Physic Garden & Afternoon Tea River Cruise

Chelsea Physic Garden & Afternoon Tea River Cruise

Chelsea Physic Garden is tucked away beside the Thames, it is a celebration of the beauty and importance of plants and was founded in 1673 making it the oldest botanic garden in London. We have combined this with a relaxing Afternoon Tea River Cruise along the Thames allowing you to sit back and enjoy the sights whilst tucking into sandwiches, cakes and of course scones with jam and cream.

We depart Plymouth at 8am and head towards Sanders Garden World for a breakfast / coffee stop. We then make our way to London for our Afternoon Tea river cruise. What better way to finish the day by combining afternoon tea with a cruise down the river Thames! No afternoon tea would be right without scones, jam and a generous dollop of cream! Guests can then stroll up on the top deck taking advantage of incredible views of London’s riverside landmarks. This is truly one of the best ways to enjoy London’s beautiful scenery. We will then travel the short distance to our hotel to check in.

Sunday

This morning we travel to the Chelsea Physic Garden tucked away beside the Thames, this is a celebration of the beauty and importance of plants. The walled garden was founded in 1673 by the Worshipful Society of Apothecaries for its apprentices to study the medicinal qualities of plants. It became one of the most important centre’s of botany and plant exchange in the world. Today, as an independent charity the Garden relies on the support of visitors and friends to help protect and nurture the Garden for future generations. We will leave London at 3pm arriving in Plymouth mid-late evening.
