Your resort hotel will be the 3 star Hotel Coral, Platja, Roses which is a 3 star superior hotel close to the beach and just a short walk from the centre of Roses.  Rooms are well equipped and comfortable and there is lift access.  There is an outdoor swimming pool, gardens with terrace and direct access to the beach from the hotel.

 

Price Includes: 7 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at the 3 star Coral Platja Hotel, Roses, 2 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast at 3 star overnight hotels, inside two berth cabins on the ferry, excursions as detailed including four train rides, wine tasting and Salvador Dali museum entrance plus coach travel throughout.

 

 

Not Included:  Single room supplement  & cabin supplement  £240 – this will be an inside cabin (no window) for sole occupancy.

 

 

Cabin upgrades are available for 2 passenger occupancy only.

  An inside cabin (no window) with an upper and lower berth is included in the tour price.

  An inside cabin (no window) with 2 x lower berths will incur a supplement of £45 per person.

  An outside cabin (has a window) with 2 x lower berths will incur a supplement of £70 per person. 

Sunday

We depart Plymouth late afternoon (15.45hrs tbc nearer date) and head directly to Millbay Docks for our ferry crossing to Santander, Spain, exact times to be confirmed). After checking into your reserved cabins on the Britanny Ferries flagship you can enjoy all of the onboard facilities including a cinema, swimming pool, shops and a choice of places to eat. (meal costs have NOT been included in our tour price onboard the ferry).

Monday

Our ferry will dock in the impressive Santander harbour around midday (times tbc) and then we head to our first hotel near Pau, situated in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Here we will enjoy an evening meal and an overnight stay.

Tuesday

We continue our journey crossing the French border and the Pyrenees before travelling back into Spain and arriving at the pleasant seaside resort of Roses, which will be our home for the next 7 days.

Wednesday

Enjoy a morning at leisure in Roses before joining the Roses Little Town Train for a trip into the Cap de Creus Nature Park with onboard commentary and a guide.

Thursday

Our guide joins us to travel back into France for a morning visit and wine tasting at Thuir. This afternoon we join the Little Yellow Train for a journey from Villefranche to Mont Louis. This is a spectacular climb between forests, chasms and rushing streams, with great views all around. Mont Louis is a World Heritage Site.

Friday

Today will be a free day to relax and enjoy the lovely resort of Roses. It is well known for its wide sandy beaches - perhaps the best on the Costa Brava and the only ones facing west for lovely sunsets.

Saturday

We enjoy a guided journey into the Spanish Pyrenees to Ribes de Freser for a trip through the wonderful Vall de Nuria. There will be time for refreshments before the return journey by train and coach.

Sunday(2)

Cross into France again for another guided tour and spectacular scenic journey on the Red Train from Rivesaltes to Axat. After a refreshment break in Axat we start the journey home with a possible shopping stop at Le Jonquera en-route.

Monday(2)

A morning excursion to the lovely nearby town of Figueres with included entrance to the world famous Salvador Dali museum is on offer today. The historic town centre is compact enough to be easily explored on foot. This afternoon will be free time at leisure in Roses.

Tuesday(2)

Sadly we must depart from Roses today and travel back across mainland Spain to our overnight hotel near Logrono, in the Rioja wine growing region. Here we will enjoy an evening meal and overnight stay.

Wednesday(2)

We continue our journey onto Santander to arrive and check in for the evening Pont Aven ferry crossing back to Plymouth (21.15hrs tbc nearer date). Once again you will have reserved cabins and full use of all the onboard facilities to enjoy the final night of your holiday.

Our ferry is due back into Plymouth late afternoon where we disembark and return home.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Plymouth Citycoach is no longer able to provide travel insurance to our customers, although we strongly recommend that you take out your own travel insurance through a reputable source.  If you need to cancel your booking due to illness or for any other reason less than 6 weeks prior to departure you will forfeit 100% of the holiday cost.  All deposits are non-refundable, so cancellation any time between the initial booking and 6 weeks prior to departure will mean you will forfeit your deposit.  If you have taken out travel insurance you will need to make a claim through them to try and reclaim any costs.

 

 

PASSPORTS / VISAS

It is imperative that each passenger travelling is in possession of a valid passport.  UK passport holders do not require a visa for travel in Europe.  If you hold anything other than a UK passport then it is your responsibility to check whether you require a visa for the country you wish to travel to.

 

 

CURRENCY

Please ensure that you have changed your money into the correct currency for Spain who currently use the Euro.
