Price Includes:  Overnight accommodation on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis at the 3 star Dooley’s Hotel, Waterford on the first night plus 3 night’s Dinner, Bed & Breakfast accommodation at our main hotel – the 3 star Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, Co. Clare, and overnight accommodation on a Dinner, Bed & Breakfast basis at the 3 star Maldron Hotel, Wexford on the final night.  Return ferry crossings between Pembroke and Rosslare and excursions as detailed are included.

Saturday

We depart Plymouth at 7am and make our way to the ferry port of Pembroke for our 2.45pm ferry crossing to Rosslare, making comfort stops along the way. On arrival in Ireland (approx. 6.45pm) we will complete our journey to our overnight hotel in Waterford where you will have your first evening meal.

Sunday

Ireland unfolds as you head west through the heart of Ireland into Co.Clare. We will make comfort stops and a lunch stop along the way before arriving at the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon where we will spend the next 3 nights.

Monday

This morning we visit the Burren Visitor Centre where an audio-visual presentation reveals the history and geology of this unique national park which contains ancient burial sites including the famous Poulnabrone Dolmen ancient tomb. We then spend the afternoon in Galway City, once a humble fishing village and now Western Ireland’s adopted capital. Enjoy the buzzing cafe culture in Eyre Square, visit the cathedral and museum or watch the salmon fishermen on Lough Corrib.

Tuesday

A treat lies in store today with a cruise beneath the mighty cliffs of Moher. These towering cliffs stretch for 8km and have become a national icon, home to thriving seabird colonies and visited by seals, porpoises and even basking sharks! From the clifftop and excellent visitor centre enjoy superb views stretching from Connemara and Galway Bay to Dingle Bay and the Blasket Islands. This afternoon spot the Aran Islands as you follow the dramatic coastal route around Black Head and Ballyvaughan Bay.

Wednesday

– Retrace your steps south with the chance to explore Limerick, home of the famous five line poem and birthplace of Richard Harris and Terry Wogan, the Tipperary countryside including the heritage town of Cahir, before continuing down to Wexford for your final overnight stay.

Thursday

We have an early start today as our ferry departs Rosslare at 8.45am and is due into Pembroke at approx. 12.45 hrs. We then complete our journey back to the West Country, making regular comfort stops, aiming to arrive in Plymouth mid-late evening..
