Price Includes: 2 night's Dinner, Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at the 3 star Holiday Inn Gloucester Cheltenham Hotel, with complimentary use of the hotel leisure facilities such as gym, swimming pool and sauna.

 

Not Included: Single room supplement £40 per person

 

PLEASE NOTE: This hotel does not have a lift, but there are 30 ground floor rooms and public areas are easily accessible. There are approx. 20 steps from the ground floor to the first floor. Please request a ground floor room at time of booking if required.

Thursday

We depart Plymouth at 8.30am and head towards Sanders Garden World for a refreshment break. We then continue onto Painswick Rococo Gardens for an afternoon visit to see the beautiful snowdrops in bloom. From here we travel the short distance to our hotel to check in and relax.

Friday

This morning we travel the short distance into the elegant Regency spa town of Cheltenham; home to award winning gardens, the Holst Birthplace Museum, where the composer of “The Planets” was born and the Pittville Pump Room. This afternoon we travel back to Gloucester, which occupies a wonderful position next to the River Severn. Here you can explore the Norman Cathedral with it’s fan-vaulted cloisters or stroll through the pedestrianised shopping area.

Saturday

Our journey home starts with a visit to the UNESCO designated world heritage site of Bath. Here you will find some of the finest architectural sights in Europe such as Bath Abbey, the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge (some attractions mentioned may incur an entry fee which is not included in the tour costs). From here we continue back to Plymouth aiming to arrive late afternoon / early evening.
