Following the heritage coast we enjoy an excursion to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne , via the historic port of Amble, "the friendliest port" and the southern gateway to Northumberland’s coastline which is An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. See the ruins of Lindisfarne’s Priory and the imposing Bamburgh Castle, (entry not included). This area is only accessible at low tide and via a causeway so timings today will be tide dependent.
