We depart Plymouth at 9am and head for the Three Choirs Vineyards estate; one of the largest in England at 75 acres and also one of the oldest. The first vines were planted in 1973 and the first vintage produced in 1976. The tour will take you through the vineyard talking about the history of growing grapes, from there you are taken to the winery where the wine making process is explained and there will be a chance to sample some different wines. This is normally the height of the harvest season so depending on the weather should be an excellent time to visit.

Friday

After breakfast we head north to the Museum of Royal Worcester which houses the world’s largest collection of Royal Worcester Porcelain. Highly prized by collectors, the historic factory was granted a Royal Warrant on 1789, and supplied many Royal Households and Heads of State who use their china to this very day. You will enjoy a talk with audio history recordings and an exclusive talk with an expert whilst enjoying complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. You will have a free afternoon to explore Worcester’s city centre before returning to our hotel.

Saturday

Today we will head home, making a final stop in Bristol, home to the historic SS Great Britain, historic harbour and Clifton Suspension Bridge. You will also find Cabot Circus, a uniquely designed modern shopping centre in the heart of Bristol’s city centre. We continue our journey home aiming to arrive late afternoon.
